Overview
A one-shot, as opposed to a campaign, is a Dungeons & Dragons adventure that can be completed within a single session (4 to 6 hours). This makes it ideal for newcomers looking to get started with the game. Moreover, it's a refreshing choice for seasoned players wanting to dive into something entirely new without long-term commitment. In this 'Pirates/Swashbuckling' setting, you embark on an adventure aboard a magical ship to plunder treasures.
The stars have disappeared.
"It was a beautiful evening. We were celebrating the Midsummer Festival, as we did every year. Deep into the night, while enjoying the festivities and engaging in warm conversations, the stars flew like birds to the west. The brightest star seemed to protest and exploded like fireworks. Since then, the sky has been a deep void."
Such stories are known to everyone. Since the stars vanished, everything has changed; there is no more harvest, the wind no longer blows, and navigating the sea has become impossible. In The Sprawling Mists of the Crimson Isles, you sail on a magical ship across the sea to restore balance to the world. During each session, you encounter new, extraordinary islands with their own flora, fauna, and, of course, treasures.
