Playing TTRPGs is one of, if not my favorite pastime. I’ve ran everything from Published DnD Modules to obscure, fan-made, Naruto inspired homebrew. But my favorite part has always been the people I get to play with. Whether it’s my personal home-games or with a client, being able to share this with friends will always feel like magic. The first time I see players realize that they feel like the monster is in front of them, or they come up with funny in-character retort, or they cry because of an NPC they love, I feel pure joy.
I am eternally grateful to Storyforgers for giving me the opportunity to work doing what I love and for introducing me not only to clients but also to players I know consider friends. I look forward to sharing this magic with you.
How I run games
As an actor Roleplaying is one of my favorite aspects of TTRPGs, but getting shyer players is my absolute favorite. Showing more reserved players how much fun it can be to get into character by creating a fun and safe environment is amazing.
I am however a little bit of stickler for the rules. The limitations around the game are what give it structure and staying within them is how we create struggle and drama. There is ONE EXCEPTION I always fold on. And It’s not the rule cool, it’s the rule of character. If something just fits the character you’ve been playing my then 9/10 I will always allow it and if not I’ll give a close alternative.
But the last and most important part of how I run my games is the FUN. If anyone isn’t having fun then we just aren’t playing right, and I’ll do everything I can to fix that.
Get to know me
The wildest thing a player has ever done…
Was when he sacrificed a major ally in order to advance his own goals, changing the course of the whole campaign, and not even getting what they wanted from it.
My proudest moment as a GM…
Was during my first session with a group, they were fighting a Minotaur and a first time player said “Dude, it’s like I can see the monster in front of me!”
What players say about my tables…
Is that I crit way too often at the most important fights.
